IMMonitor MSN Spy is a network traffic sniffer designed for MSN packet capturing. The application automatically scans your subnet and it detects all the active computers in it. It then populates a drop-down list with their IP addresses and host names so that you can easily choose any of them to capture MSN traffic.
Unlike other packet sniffers, IMMonitor MSN Spy only scans one IP address at a time. You have to select an IP address to scan and then start the scan. After that, all the traffic that the application detects that is MSN-related will be displayed in the main window. IMMonitor MSN Spy does a good job of sorting and organizing the packets that are captured. Instead of showing you every bit of the packet, it only shows the time, the content of the message, who it is from, and who it is for. This makes reading a lot easier.
IMMonitor has another MSN sniffer that can scan multiple IP addresses at once. It is a bit more expensive, though.
In my testing, the application was a bit slow to show the messages that I sent to a PC on my network. It also only captured the messages sent from that PC but not those directed to it.
